As a Food Safety Quality Regulatory (FSQR) Specialist I am responsible for the fulfillment of customer samples for functional systems and hydrocolloids, as well as, small batch blending in support of operations. As additional support, I am also responsible for additional analytical testing, entering data into databases in support of the quality management and operational teams. I perform analytical testing for routine analysis of final product testing and raw materials, and in support of trials and experiments. In addition to, process monitoring, system improvement support, specialized testing, training, plant trials, auditing of systems and performance and plant production support.

Conducted microbial enumeration tests to determine the total aerobic microbial count and the total yeast and mold count present in test samples. Conducted qualitative phase microbial limits testing to screen for specified microorganisms. Determined whether non-sterile pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products met established specifications for microbiological quality as per FDA and USP standards. Determined the presence or absence of Burkholderia cepacia. Confirmed the growth promoting ability of media used in the microbiology laboratory.
